Dr Khakha has been great. My injury was rare and he managed to help my mother and me understand the condition and how he would approach it. I felt comforted all throughout the whole process and understood the pain or weird feelings I would of felt during recovery process and had and still have consistent appointments to follow up. I felt comfortable enough with him and felt/feel like we had a genuine bond and he actually listened to what I had to say about my situation rather than just nodding his head and assuming what he want it to be (which I have experienced in the past). He has constantly updating in contact with my GP and my physio and my knee is close to its original state all because of him... sooooo... THANKS MR KHAKHA!!!
All my life I have been very active, working at sea, playing all types of sport but especially football, cycling and marathon running. I suppose this type of life eventually took its toll on my knee, and at the age of around 50 I started to have knee problems.
I was 52 when I had a arthroscopy, which gave me relief for a couple of years.
When I was 55 I was advised I would need a full knee replacement. After a few changes with surgeons I was eventually referred to Dr Khakha, who advised me that I would only require a partial knee replacement as all the wear was on the inside of my knee where I had bone rubbing against bone.
I had the operation on a Friday afternoon and was discharged on the Sunday morning.
The operation went well and the care I received from the staff at Guys Hospital was great.
After 4 months rehab at home I returned to work at Sea, which given the environment of rough seas, and up and down ladders etc is testament to the success of my operation.
I have also returned to swimming and cycling, and completed the London to Brighton bike ride 8 months after the op.
I have had no complications and no pain since my op but I do kneel down on the knee very gingerly.
I cannot thank Dr Khakha and his team enough for getting my life back to normal.

Mark Gordons Testimonial
I would like to start with my knee problem which was a result of many years of hard work on my knees / heavy lifting.
Which resulted with bone touching bone on the inside of my right knee giving the appearance of one bowed leg and a
severe painful limp. Believe it or not I didn't seek any medical treatment for my knee problem. I attended guys hospital for an appointment
unrelated to my knee problem where my consultant referred me to Orthopaedic Department.
They referred me to MR KHAKHA suggesting surgery for a half metal knee be fitted.
My appointment with MR KHAKHA went very well after he examined my x ray of my knee he suggested not to go for the half metal knee
and have high tibia osteotomy instead, with the understanding this was no miracle cure and I may still need a metal knee
in the future
Expectations
I wasn't sure what I expected to be honest walk without limp was the main thing to me.
Result of surgery
my operation exceeded my expectation.
I have no pain,
I have no limp,
no bowed leg.
life couldn't be better, my knee is back to normal thanks to MR KHAKHA and his team.
I would recommend to anyone contemplating knee surgery for metal type replacement
to have the HTO operation If it was offered to them.
Many Thanks
Mark Gordon.
Mr Khakha is a great surgeon and such a lovely man who pays great attention to detail and presents as a very pleasant and caring man. I am so grateful for his care when I had my second knee replacement in 2018. My previous experience of a knee replacement 10 years earlier was not a pleasant one and I was a bit anxious about having the second one operated on, but I worried needlessly! The whole process from initial consultation through to post-op check up was very well organised and my recovery under Mr. Khakha's care was very speedy; I was able to dispense with my crutches very quickly and have been virtually pain-free ever since. If you need to have a knee procedure, do not delay, it will really be worth it!!
I had uni-compartmental knee surgery provided by Mr Khakha in March 2018 when I was 68 years old. I sustained a knee injury playing football when I was 18, which partly tore my ACL ligament. I've had an unstable knee since then, which is probably why I had very little cartilage left. Over the years I've had physio treatment which was very helpful. I'm a retired physio myself, which is why I had high expectations of the surgery, and those expectations were surpassed. I highly praise Mr Khakha both for his orthopaedic skill, his explanations, and his therapeutic relationship.
